Paradiddle: Cocoa controllers for Pd
Paradiddle is a Cocoa framework presented as a Project Builder template, which allows you to create Cocoa applications that control Pd patches without writing a single line of code. You graphically lay out Cocoa controls, visually connect them to the framework, and then compile the application.
System Requirements:
- Mac OS X (10.2)
- Mac OS X Developer Tools (available for free at http://connect.apple.com/)
- Pd (pure data) (version 0.36 preferred, available at http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/software.html or in a double-click installer at this site)
- Alternatively, it might be usable with Max/MSP on MacOSX when using Olaf Matthes’s netreceive external. Please let me know if it works!
Getting Started:
Once installed, open up Project Builder and create a new project, choosing Application -> Paradiddle Application. Click “Next” to name your project, and choose the folder it lives in. Click “Finish” and follow the tutorial posted online or included on the disk image.
