If I were to be honest about it, I would have to call myself a serial enthusiast, who has picked up a variety of interests, made notable contributions, and moved on to other interesting things.

Looking back at my professional life, MPEG-7 was the first and most long-lived of these interests. Since leaving the grind of international standardisation behind, I have gained expertise in a few open source projects, and given back to the community. Past web pages have hosted those efforts, and I include some pages here in the interest of continuity.

Most recently, I have gotten heavily involved in The Echo Nest‘s various APIs, for many reasons. I have gotten especially deeply involved with their Remix API, and provide some pages explaining it.
